Sandefjord harbour

The picture to the left above is from Sandefjord harbour in the 1860's, not very much, was it?

The next picture is from the same harbour in the early 1950's showing you lots of whale catchers.

In the upper left corner you'll see a shipyard, Framnaes mek. Verksted, building tankboats up to 15,000 tdw. I grew up a 5 minutes walk from that one. Everytime the yard finished a new ship, it was like a national day with flags and music.
