Framnes
I would like to show you some photos from the shipyard Framnes mek Verksted in Sandefjord. This yard is known for building the Christian Radich, a 241 foot, 676 ton, full-rigged ship in 1937, with the nick name "The White Swan". No sailing ships had been built the past 25 years, but quite a few of the old timers still knew how. She was a buty, won every race she participated in, but that is a story of her own.
One of the photos is very interesting, for me at least. We can see the house where I was born and the public school.
The shipyard in the 1930-something to the left and from the 1960's to the right. You may click the pictures for a bigger version. If you select the right one, I'll show you my public school and where I was born.
